GIVEAWAY & Review: 15 Tones Compilation CD

Have you read Fifty Shades of Gray? Have you read the whole trilogy?

15 Tones is a compilation of 15 songs that has been touted as a something that could be a potential soundtrack to the book Fifty Shades of Gray. I enjoyed listening to each of the songs on their own and have to admit that is has been a long time since I have heard the song "Do Me" by Bel Biv Devoe. That sure takes me back to a time when I didn't even really know what the song was really about (sure dates me, doesn't that.)

I really liked the (much) older songs by Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald and thought they were very appropriate to helping set the mood. Although, I wasn't sure about the few classical songs that were thrown in to the compilation. I am thinking that the mood could change drastically going from Sex Machine to Canon & Guige. I loved that it started out with "Let's Get It On" and I really thought "I Put A Spell On You" was so appropriate to the context of the book Fifty Shades. So, while I am not exactly sure on the the order in which they were all arranged, I do think this could be great as background music for any themed parties or book clubs that might be planned.

I must mention, this CD is not related to Fifty Shades. But with this book being so popular, there is a market of people looking for musical accompaniment to the story they are envisioning and this just might fit the bill.

ONE LUCKY READER WILL WIN A COPY OF THE 15 TONES CD.

The album offers a variety of sensual tracks, ranging all the way from classical (pieces by Chopin, DeBussy) to jazz and soul (Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Marvin Gaye), and everything in between (Bell Biv Devoe's "Do Me," Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love.")
