Go Back to School with Crayola, General Mills and Target

This back-to-school season will be as easy as 1-2-3 with a little help from General Mills, Crayola, and Target, the one-stop-shop for all your back-to-school needs! Head to the front of the class and check out www.GrocerySavvy.com where you’ll find even more coupons for back-to-school, recipes, and a special 2012 “Grocery Savvy Crayola® Back To School” Sweepstakes! Be sure to enter the sweepstakes for your chance to win one of the 700 Crayola® 8-count Washable Dry Erase Crayons or one of 20 Crayola® Dry-Erase Activity Centers Zany Play Edition.

I received the above (pictured) box of Cheerios from General Mills, Dry Erase Crayons from Crayola and $20 gift card from Target (to buy more cereal and school supplies) in hopes that I would mention them on my blog. (note: disclaimer) And they are so awesome that they are giving

ONE LUCKY READER THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN THE SAME PACKAGE!

So, why not head back to school courtesy of General Mills, Target & Crayola. And with all the back to school sales going on at Target right now, that $20 might just be all you need to buy all the school supplies you need. Well, until they get older and need those special calculators.

Available exclusively at Target Stores during the month of August:
  • Purchase specially marked Nature Valley® Crunchy Granola Bars, Pillsbury® Toaster Strudel® Pastries, and Big G Cereal packages and you could save up to $5 on Crayola products
  • Participating Big G cereal boxes will feature a fun Crayola coloring activity on pack
  • Save on General Mills products when you purchase specially marked Crayola 64-CT Crayons

I am going to try a new way to do a giveaway by using Google Docs rather than Rafflecopter. I will use Random.org to choose the # of entry. Each person has an equal opportunity to win. Leave me a comment on this post on your thoughts about using this way of entry vs. Rafflecopter.

WINNER MUST BE A FOLLOWER VIA GFC, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, GOOGLE+, OR EMAIL TO WIN. You don't have to follow all of those ways, but you can! :) You just need to follow one of those ways.

Disclosure: The product, gift pack, information, and additional sample have been provided by Crayola, Target, and General Mills through MyBlogSpark.

  4. I think rafflecopter gives you better results (followers, feedback, etc) This way seems to just take our info, but you do not benefit as much.

  7. I like this way much better than rafflecopter which doesn't work half the time. :)

  8. Either way if fine with me although Rafflecopter seems to be more aesthetically pleasing. =)

  9. I like Rafflecopter better as well. I know if I entered - no duplicate entries just because someone forgot!

  10. I prefer rafflecopter too. I like to see what my chances are and it's easier to tell if I already entered or not

  11. I do think I prefer Rafflecopter; it is easier to keep track of giveaways I have entered. Yes, I have entered some giveaways twice simply because I forgot about entering the first time!

  12. I like both, sometimes Rafflecopter offers too many entries

  13. Well, this way seems a lot easier for me, but it's probably less beneficial for you. I like Rafflecopter, but I think people get a little too crazy with the entries sometimes. Yeah, I probably haven't helped you at all, huh? :)

  14. This was really easy-since you had one entry per person. However, if you have people doing lots of other things, I think Rafflecopter is easier. Thanks for the chance to win!

  19. Did NOT like entering my entire name and address into a non-secure form. I hope you delete this information once the winner is picked.

  20. I like this way better since I am not a "facebooker" and Rafflecopter is more difficult to use for those of us who choose not to use Facebook.

  21. I much prefer Rafflecopter! I love that it is dummy proof (most of the time) so that I don't have to worry about remembering whether I entered already. Plus, I typically don't enter giveaways if there are over a certain number of entries so I like that with Rafflecopter I know what my chances are.

This doesn't have as much to do with the WAY we enter but more of what is requested of us. I really dislike the idea of adding my entire address into the form. I don't feel it's necessary to give out that information (and I didn't) unless I am actually chosen to win.

  28. I am new to using Gogle Documents for a giveaway. Raffle coppter is okay, but sometimes has quirks when it comes to liking a FB page.

  31. I like rafflecopter if they don't get crazy with the number of entries. However, if only having one entry person... This works as well (although I would suggest dropping mailing address from form, just get it from winner).

  32. I prefer this better, but I do like Rafflecopter also.

  33. This entry was quite easy. I liked not having a bazillion things to do. That being said, I like that with Rafflecopter you get to see that your entry was accepted and you know how many entries there are total. I would say though that it is your blog and you need to do what is easiest for you, keeping in mind what brings traffic to your blog.

  37. Rafflecopter seems to be better for the bloggers as you can get more followers but I liked this better. I don't like having to like a bunch of pages on FB (clogging up my feed) or follow on pinterest but I don't mind doing the rest of it. This was straight forward and simple. A breeze to do, really. My only issue was the mailing address but even some rafflecopters require that.
