Review: SparX Candy

My kids and I had the opportunity to review SparX candy together. They are manufactured by Xlear Inc. We all seemed to enjoy the candy. I actually had to shoo the away because they wanted more and I needed to type. I do like that they are tiny little pieces in a resealable container. My daughter thought they had the same texture as Runts candy, which she enjoys (but not very often.)

I appreciate that that they are are made with a plant based sweetener that helps fight cavities and reduce tooth decay. As I was reading about their product information I also noticed that it claims that xylitol in nasal sprays helps prevent ear infections and prevent harmful bacteria that form in upper respiratory infections. I admit that I didn't know very much about Xlyitol and did a little research to learn just how "it works" and I think the best explanation I found is on Wikipedia, but be prepared for a more scientific explanation (which is why I don't think it is explained as much in other places as it has a more complicated explanation.)

It is a very interesting product and the idea that this is a candy I can offer my children that is actually good for their teeth is intriguing. I am pretty excited to have them try the tooth gel as well and I think I will have to look in to the availability of the nasal spray for this winter season.
