I have been using Dizolve laundry strips for about 3 weeks now and I really like them for many reasons. I love that there is 72 strips (that is 72 loads, one strip per load) in one box that is relatively small in comparison to a bottle of laundry detergent that has 72 loads worth in it. This eliminates the need for large jugs of detergent and helps limit some of the plastic ending up in landfills.
I also really like that it is fragrance free. We don't have any allergies or sensitives to fragrances in our home, but I don't like my laundry to be artificially scented, but I do like it if essential oils were used. So, if you do have sensitivities to fragrances in your home, you might be particularly interested in Dizolve detergent strips.
Here you can see that there is a sheet and there are 4 perforated strips in each sheet. They tear apart easily. I love that it is pre-measured and literally take 2 seconds to tear off a sheet. By having pre-measured sheets, you are lessening the likelihood that you will use too much detergent, which is wasteful and costs you, the consumer, more money over time. And you know what, a portion of the proceeds from the sale go to support environmental youth programs like the Sierra Club of Canada or some other fundraising effort they are working with.
These strips can be used for both hot and cold water in both standard and HE machines. Just throw a strip in the bottom of your washer and put clothes on top and begin the machine cycles. That's it. Just throw in your Dizolve strip. No special compartments or special instructions. I have an HE front loader washing machine and I usually think about detergent after I have already loaded my clothes in and it has worked just fine with putting it on top of your clothes in my HE washing machine.
Some more things to note, it is:
- Hypoallergenic for sensitive skin
- Free of 1,4-dioxane
- Phosphate-free
- Biodegradable
- Safe for septics
Right now this product is only available to be purchased from their website and shipped within Canada, but you don't have to live in Canada to be able to try it out because a lucky reader will get their own supply.
CHECK BACK NEXT WEEK AND I WILL BE POSTING A GIVEAWAY FOR YEAR SUPPLY OF DIZOLVE (that's 432 strips!)
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
How neat and mess free! I'll have to look for these!
ReplyDeleteThese look great to try...I wonder if they are cloth diaper friendly? Unless I missed you saying so? Thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteI think they would be diaper friendly as they don't have any allergens in them, but I do not have anyone in diapers to say how they clean diapers.
ReplyDeleteI hope our small town carries these!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that the strips are fragrance free and so compact. I have a limited amount of space in the laundry room and I hate storing the big bottles of detergent.
ReplyDeleteI love that these are allergy free and so convenient. My household suffers greatly with allergies!! I would really like to try some!

Sounds like a great product. It should be great on baby clothes and diapers.
ReplyDeleteWould love to try these & one the cloth diapers too!
ReplyDeleteThis would be ideal for me, I'm in an apartment building and have to do my laundry in the building laundry room. This would save me having to lug around those big bottles of detergent.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this before!!! I need to look for these!
ReplyDeleteWow. These sound fantastic - fragrance free, compact, light in weight, good for the environment, and easy to measure ( I think I could even teach my husband and son not to use too much). Can't wait to try them.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this...I battle chocolate milk stains daily.

What a great idea, very convinient -- compact, light, easy to use
ReplyDeleteI love how easy & convenient these are & most importantly safe for sensitive skin!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Would love to win these!
ReplyDeleteI love the ease of use of this product! I have been making my own detergent for years to avoid harmful chemicals, but I would love to try these!
ReplyDeleteI do a lot of laundry and so therefore go through a lot of laundry detergent. Of course I have a teen in the house who somehow dirties 3-4 loads of clothes in ONE week on her own. LOL. I've never heard of these strips before but am very interested in trying them. We go through a lot of detergent as my teen can't grasp the fact that laundry detergent is concentrated so therefore you don't have to use an entire cap or more for each of her loads of clothes that most are not dirty to start with....then again, she thinks you need to use 3-4 dryer sheets per load for it to work too....I've started buying cheaper stuff for when she wants to wash her own clothes otherwise I can't afford for her to learn to wash her own stuff....since a 30 load bottle of detergent will last her 2-3 weeks washing 3-4 loads a week. I think these strips would be great all around but especially great in reducing the wasted detergent with my step daughter as I could give her a strip for each load shes washing and no more measuring, no more overuse, no more wasted money, etc and it takes up so much less room than the large plastic bottles.....I'd love to try these out!
ReplyDeleteI love the ease of use they have. I also love that you don't have to measure anything. I prefer unscented. Right now I'm making our laundry detergent but this would be fun to try!
ReplyDeleteWhat an easy way to do laundry. These are light, unspillable, and are in a perfect size for each load.
