GIVEAWAY and Review: Sili Bake Pastry Mat with Measurements

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I just love using silicone mats when I am baking. It means I don't have to use cooking spray because it creates a non-stick surface. Sili Bake Pastry Mat takes it a step further by making the mat even more functional by including baking measurements. 2 edges on the outside have inches along the side and the other 2 edges have centimeters along the side. These will come in quite handy when you are cutting out cinnamon rolls or cookies from a log. And in the center of the mat is circle measurements so that you can make just the size of pizza crust, pie crust or artisan loaf bread that you desire.

On the left side of the mat is also recipes for pie dough (crust) and sugar cookies, which are probably the 2 most popular items that you need measurements for and will use this baking mat for. They are right there on the mat you are using and no need to have a cookbook taking up additional space in front of you.

On the right side of the mat is also conversion charts, I know I will sometimes come across a recipe that has ingredients listed in grams and then I have to go get the computer and look up the conversion. Those will be very handy for me. Also there is conversions for temperature, as well as liquids.

One more feature I am going to tell you about that I like using it for when I am baking is spacing. I made Coconut Flour Drop Biscuits (recipe blog post to come on 6/30/14) and I knew just where to place each one of my scoops so that they made perfectly round biscuits and did not run together. I dislike when end up having my cookies or biscuits too close together and they end up running together and create flat sides on the sides that touch rather than nicely round cookies. Plus they are also measurements so you know how big a 2" and 3" cookie should be. Definitely a very nice mat that I am very happy to have. You can buy a Sili Bake Pastry Mat with Measurements on Amazon. At the time of the post, they were selling there for $16.99 and have FREE Prime Shipping.

  12. We make a lot of dough and biscuits, so I would use this for that. It would certainly be a step up from the wax paper I usually lay down.
