My Thoughts
This new Christmas book, Merry Stirring Mice by Cynthia Dreeman Meyer, is soon to become a family favorite and a classic. Because I have a little boy who is always asking why questions and trying to figure things out, I can just imagine other children asking how Santa gets those candy canes and other candies to their stocking without get smushed or broken. Well, the answer to that is in this book and it's not magical (well, I guess we should consider talking mice magical) but instead a family of mice (that we all must have living in our homes) that Santa has entrusted as helpers that do the making and distribution of sweet treats on Christmas. It is a sweet book and might provide an answer to a question you didn't know how to answer before. My son really liked reading it.
One lucky reader will win their own copy and the PR firm is going to try their best to have it to the winner by Christmas.
Book Description from the publisher:
Not many people know about the secret part of Santa’s team. In a colorful, charming moment-by moment description, author Cynthia Dreeman Meyers shows us what really goes on the night before Christmas. Watch Mama Mouse and Daddy Mouse show their kids—Max and his little sister Molly—how to prepare for the man. “Max, come away from the door please and help your sister stir the candy-cane mix,” Mama Mouse begins. Soon come the sugarplums, the candy canes, and finally the note that says, “For Santa.”
