Wordless Wednesday: Strange Foods

  4. The hairy looking strawberries are Rambutan and the throny looking thing is Kiwano.

    We did try both of those. My kids did not like the seedy texture of the Kiwano, but we all liked the Rambutan. The Rambtan has kind of peeled grape texture and taste to it.

    I did give away the Ghost Chilies to a friend that liked very intense heat and apparently had no regard for his intenstines. We have yet to try the black garlic.

  5. Your friend sounds like my husband. If he doesn't cry when he eats something spicy, it's not HOT enough for him!

  6. We had some of those funny shaped fruits when we were in Laos & Cambodia last month - very tasty! Don't think I'd be brave enough to try the chillies, though :)
