Remember my review about the book, A Perfect Pet for Peyton? This is a book for adults to read that corresponds to this book, as well as the original book The Five Love Languages (which has been re-written in several different ways to target different groups of people.)
The 5 Love Languages are Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. Each child is created uniquely and your own children might respond best to a different love language. You can even take an assessment here to help determine your child's love language. These assessments are for kids ages 5-12, there is another quiz for teenagers.
By taking the assessment you can get an idea about your child's primary love language. It actually ranks all of the love languages. I did the assessment to learn my daughters and was not surprised that it was physical touch, followed up closely by quality time.
After figuring out your child's Love Language, be sure to read this book. It helps give you more ideas about how to communicate to your child using this love language and provide support to parents that might not not know how to communicate their child's love language. The book is also full of examples about how a child's behavior changes when they feel love and are communicated that they are loved.
ONE LUCKY READER WILL WIN A COPY OF THIS BOOK!!!!
