can i use Greek Yogurt instead of yogurt cheese?
ReplyDeleteWAnting to know the same as Lori, yogurt as a substitute??
ReplyDeleteI think greek yogurt would be fine. Just make sure you have real greek yogurt by reading the label to make sure they aren't adding corn starch and other things to it.
ReplyDeletewhat about using almond or coconut flour?
ReplyDeleteCan I fry the beef the night before and refrigerate it?
ReplyDeleteYes Abbey! That would work just fine!
ReplyDeleteI don't typically use almond or coconut flour, so I can't comment how well it would work, but I think it would be ok.

ReplyDeleteI love Stroganoff! I'll have to give this recipe a try.
ReplyDeleteI will have to make this but I will sub my veggie "meat" for the beef. Saving this one.
ReplyDeleteAbout how many people does this serve?
ReplyDeleteI used greek yogurt, 8 hours was a bit too long. I stopped it at 7 hours and had to add a more beef broth as it was too dry. It was delicious and a hit with the kids! Will definately make again!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this recipe so thank you first of all! I tried greek yogurt instead of sour cream and it curdled ruining my entire pot! I advise against it lol
ReplyDeleteIf you add the yogurt at the end (30 min ish prior to serving on a low setting) it will work and not curdle :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I did :( I don't know what happened then! Made it tonight and loved it as always
ReplyDeleteThe flour is just to thicken.. so I wouldn't use coconut or almond.. use arrowroot powder
ReplyDeleteCan I use corn starch instead of the flour?
ReplyDeleteDumb question, but what does the C mean?
ReplyDeleteIt's the abbreviation for Cup Danielle.
ReplyDeleteDoes the meat have to be fried first? I see other stroganoff recipes that place the meat uncooked into the crock, and wondered if the same could be done with this recipe?
ReplyDeleteHow many does this recipe serve?
