If you read my posted yesterday about taking a Spin Class lead by Dara Torres, you will recall that the who opportunity was presented as a chance to review the new Koss Fitbuds and Fitclips. All pictures, thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are mine and do not represent the Koss Corporation. I received no monetary compensation for this post, but I did receive the opportunity to review them during a spin class and at home. Ok, now that the disclosure is out of the way I can get on to telling you about these new in-ear earphones.
I wore the Koss Fitclips during the spin class. The Fitclips have the same kind
of bud as the Fitbuds, but they also have a clip that fit around your ears allowing them to rest on your ears and not slip out. That is the one difference between the two, but what sets them apart from other ear buds on the market is that they are designed by women for women and the ear bud is 33% smaller than all other ear buds on the market. With many other clothes and accessories, there are different sizes for different people or things are created with sizes geared towards men or towards women. Up until now, all ear buds had the same size. You could buy more feminine colors, but the bud itself was the same size regardless of color.
With this pictures on the left you can see a close up of the Fitclips with
the smallest cushion on it. It comes with different sizes of cushions that go over a smaller element. I had tried them out with the medium cushion size, but changed them to the small when I tried them on my (almost) 4 year old son. FINALLY! Earphones that fit my son! I am more excited about that they fit his ears than my own. They slid right in there and STAYED! Can you tell I am happy about that. We have tried so many different ones for him so he could listen to a movie on the plane or be on the iPad while his sister watches TV, but they all are too big and either don't insert at all or fall out very easily. The Fitclips just slid right in there and stayed securely in place and he didn't even seem to notice they were there, which is the same experience I had wearing them during the spin class.
The Fitclips are now his and I get the Fitbuds. He is happy he is not getting frustrated with earphones, this is great! I even bought him an old school headset to try but that would eventually slide down his head and frustrate him and then he bent the headphones out really wide, so they are not even really usable.
As a parent you try to head off tantrums whenever possible and I don't think there will be any more tantrums of earphone frustrations.
There are all these technical details about the Fitclips and Fitbuds I could share with you, but honestly I don't know what they all mean. The details I do care about is that they are lightweight and designed for active use, have a durable cord (I have had to toss earbuds before because the went bad because of cords bending because they were not durable) and are sweat resistant.
Now that I have convinced you that you need these earbuds, if not for yourself but for a child, you can save $10 now through October 16, 2013 when you buy any of the Fit Series Items from the Koss website. And what's more is you can get FREE SHIPPING as well if you live in the United States. Both the Fitbuds and Fitclips are priced at $29.99, but you can get them shipped free to you for $19.99 by using coupon code: FITFORLIFE

How cool! I literally have to stop and pop my earbuds back in when running. I'll definitely be checking these out!
I like these. My kids are always breaking their headphones and stealing mine so I need a great pair.
I need these for when I workout! My other ones fall out when I run!
