GIVEAWAY and Review: Tri-Calm Cream (2 WINNERS!)

I get such dry skin in the winter that it just itches. I have even gotten a few dry, red spots that itch on parts of my body (which is new to me) and it relieved the itching immediately and provided moisture to the area to also help relieve the dryness. My kids both deal with winter eczema and at times it can be extremely itchy and bothersome, and Tri-Calm has been very helpful in offering them relief.

I anticipate we may use this if we have any burns, sun burns, or rashes (although, hopefully we don't) and I am sure we will use it once it warms up again here in MN and those pesky mosquitoes come back. I am anxious to see how well it does at relieving itchy bug bites. I am willing to bet it does a great job like it does with our dry winter skin itchies.

It is also helpful with relieving itching from nickel allergy, which I have. I am good about making sure I am not putting my skin in direct contact with something with nickel in it, but sometimes manufacturing standards are different in different countries about metal content. So, I know I can use this if I get a rash from that allergy.

Review: Climb On! Creme and Bar

For me, winter in the time of the year that my hands begin to get dry and the skin on my thumbs can crack. That is, unless I am being proactive and taking care of them, which is why I was excited to be able to review the Climb On! Bar and Creme. I was given sample sizes of both items and have enjoyed using them.

The Climb On! products have been popular with climbers, but everyone should know about these products because they really work. The Climb On! Bar glides on easily and smoothly on my hands and has a delightful smell from the lavender and neroli essential oils used in it. My hands have been smooth and provided with a layer from protection from the cold (of course, in MN I still need to wear gloves.) My 3 year old likes to rub the bar on his hands as well, which is an example of how it is safe for everyone of all ages to use.

The Climb On! Creme is what I have used on my legs (another area that gets dry in the winter). I find it works better on my legs because it glides so easily. If you read the description below you will see that there are so many more reasons and places to use the creme that I have not had the opportunity to try. It is even supposed to be a great burn creme, which luckily I have not needed in our household.

Climb On! Bar: This one product can soothe burns, cuts, scrapes, rashes, cracked cuticles and heels, tissue nose, road rash, diaper rash, abrasions, poison ivy...any skin issue that needs deep moisturizing and nourishing. Climb On! Bar was originally formulated for rock climbers. It has crossed all barriers since it works on any skin type and any skin issue. The beeswax is the emulsifier which holds the ingredients together. It acts as a humectant, which draws moisture to the skin. It acts as a natural water resistant barrier to help skin stay protected. Anyone from babies to rock stars use this product. The essential oils of neroli and lavender work their therapeutic properties to help the body bring the skin back into balance. Our body sees Climb On! recipe as a friend not a foe!

Creme: Our Crème is the best for the worst dry skin imaginable. Climb On! Creme is a deep moisturizer and acts like food for your skin in that it nourishes as well. Apply CO! Crème to your skin to moisturize and nourish if you are in the sun, wind, ice, rain, water, chemicals, etc. Use after extreme exposure for moisturizing relief. Along with the Climb On! Bar, the Creme can take the place of numerous items in your bathroom cabinet: make-up remover, cuticle cream, intense nighttime moisturizer, before and after the sun lotion, as a conditioning aftershave for face or legs. Climb On! Creme is a perfect moisturizing diaper rash cream, as a cradle cap lotion or any skin problem that is tender and needs easy application in order to moisturize. A little goes a long way!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

GIVEAWAY and Review: Greenchild Creations Gingerbread Lotion

I am very excited to tell you about Greenchild Creations and their Gingerbread Lotion. First I want to tell you that this is a local company (for me!). It is located about a 30 minute drive from my home. I love that I am able to help promote a local company.

From Greenchild Creations: This is a 100% natural product with a shelf life of approximately 6 months to a year, or possibly longer. There are no artificial ingredients or petrochemicals, just the pure goodness of nature.

If you love the scent of cloves and cinnamon with a hint of orange peel, then you will love to try out the Gingerbread Lotion. I know that the scent has me thinking about making some cookies.

I do not have any known skin sensitivities to lotions, but my kids get eczema in the cold months. I have used the lotion on both myself and my son and it has left our skin feeling soft and smooth. Currently, he does not have an eczema outbreak, but as anyone who has eczema or a lives with a loved one that does you know that some lotions can be irritating even when the eczema is not present. I cannot speak to how the lotion works when there is an eczema flare-up, but it was not irritating at all at this time on our dry skin. So, I am happy with the performance of this lotion.

OS Fitted Cloth Diaper
Be sure to check out her line of handmade one-size fitted cloth diapers, diaper covers, vintage-look aprons, diaper pail spray, hedgehog pin cushions, healing salve, vegan soaps, crocheted snowflakes, and natural lotion.

GIVEAWAY and Review: Sodee Naturals

I am so excited to tell you about the products from Sodee Naturals that my family and myself have been using for the past 2 weeks.

The first product I want to tell you about is the 4 different types of eczema cream (original, lanolin-free, anti-itch, and seabuckthorn.) Both of my children get eczema in the winter, and while my daughter has begun to outgrow it my son still get patches all over his little legs. Between both kids we have used every eczema cream out there, including prescription). My favorite was the original and I found it to a good thickness - Not too thick and not too thin. I was also pleased with the effectiveness. After one application the redness was gone and after several applications the dry patches were gone.

I had never used a shampoo or conditioner bar, so this was a new experience for me. I wash my hair only a few times a week (but this naturally curly mop needs conditioner daily!). I surprised at how little I had to rub my hands on the shampoo bar to work up a lather. I am going to have this shampoo bar for a LOOOOOoooong time! The conditioner bar applied easily and worked well and I will be interested to see how long it lasts because after 2 weeks of use it is just barely noticeable that it has been used.

My husband was the lucky recipient of the shave cream. He said it works just as well as anything else he has ever used for shaving. They only thing is he is getting used to spreading on a lotion instead of a foam, so it's just a texture thing based on what he is used to. It performs just as well and shaves similarly. He does like the lighter scent (over what he was using previously that tended to be much stronger.)
The bar of soap I opted to review is the Dark Beer Soap. I thought my husband would enjoy this soap, which he did. I could it interesting to learn that hops is anti-inflammatory.

It is one of 4 varieties of soap. The other varieties are old fashioned lace soap, satsuma soap and sea salt soap. I am not sure I know what satsuma smells like, but I am now curious.
When I first opened up the Tropical Breeze Body Butter, I thought it smelled good enough to eat. I love wearing it. It covers smoothly with a minimal amount of body butter. I have had several people smell this and they agree it smells fantastic.

I am very pleased with this body butter. It makes my skin feel better and smell like I am on a tropical island. Highly recommend!
