Make-It Monday: Homemade Clean Granola Bars
Homemade Clean Granola Bars
2 1/2 Cups of Old Fashioned Oatmeal
2 T Ground Flax Seed
1/4 C Wheat Germ
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Sea Salt
1/4 C Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/4 tsp Almond Extract
1/4C Honey
1/4 C Maple Syrup
2T coconut oil (melted)
1/4 C Dried Cranberries
1/4 C Sliced Almonds
1/4 C Coconut
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put 1 1/2 Cups of oatmeal in a food processor and process to the consistency of flour. Place ground oatmeal, 1 C oatmeal, ground flax seed, wheat germ, cinnamon and sea salt in a bowl and mix. Stir in almond milk, extract, honey, maple syrup, coconut oil, cranberries, almonds and coconut until the mixture appears completely wet.
Pat mixture down in a pan that is about the size of 7x11. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing in to bars. Makes 12 bars.
