Throwback Thursday: Camp MOM

I am heading back to last year right around this time when my friend Becky and I took her twins and my daughter to Camp MOM. I never got around to sharing these 2 pictures, so I am doing it now.

I did however share a bunch of other pictures and projects from Camp MOM and you can see them all in a nice list here:

We also make Camp MOM shirts from plain t-shirts and puffy paint, did a bunch of cooking outdoors, went hiking and canoeing, played at the park and went swimming at the lake.

We did all this together because I dropped the ball last year on getting my daughter signed up for her first overnight camp (which she decided against this year) and so I decided to create a "Camp Experience" for her complete with all the crafts and activities and bunkmates that going to an overnight camp offers.

I like the pictures you shared of you and your friends daughters going to camp. The camp sounds like it was a lot of fun for the girls.

I went to summer camp several times as a child and I always had an amazing time. Ah the memories. I always went to girl scout camp and loved going to the one in New Mexico the best. One summer I was gone for three weeks, one to New Mexico and two weeks to the camp about an hour or so from our hourp

I hope they enjoyed camp last year.

That's such a great idea, especially for those who can't afford summer camps! Love!

You are so my type of mom. I do so much of these kind of crafts/events with my nieces and nephews and sometimes a few friends. I want them to have great experiences as children to take into their young lives. I know your crew had a great week!

I think this was a great idea. I was sent off to camp quite a few times and just did not like it at all--I always made friends but I would have preferred staying home and pretended I was in camp!
