We LOVE Melissa and Doug Toys in our home and I was very excited to see their list of Terrific Twenty Holiday Gifts for 2012. Most of these items are new toys we do not have and I am still looking for ideas for presents for the kids.
The only thing on the list that we have have is the Trunki. My daughter has the pink Trunki and my son has the green Trunki, and we bought the Trunki Fun Face Stickers to make them in to people/animals. They love to have them to ride around on when we travel. If you are looking for a unique and fun gift that is also functional, then I highly recommend buying a Trunki.
I had such a hard time deciding what item I would want for my kids from the Terrific Twenty List. I do this the Magic Mine Train Tunnel is really cool and I think my son would love it and it would fit perfect with our collection of wooden train sets that also include a Melissa & Doug Train set. But I also know he would love the Big Rig Set and the Whittle World Wooden School Bus Set.
I believe my daughter would be thrilled to get the the Fashion Design Activity Set (which totally reminds me of the fashion drawing set my grandma had at her house when I was growing up) or the Stamp a Scene Fairy Garden (she's a huge fairy fan!)
It is so hard to decide just what toys to get my kids for Christmas presents, but at least with Melissa and Doug I know they are going to be quality toys and help reinforce skills they are learning at the appropriate age and provide many hours of fun and learning.
