I had a chance to review a gardenia scented SOI Luxury Candle from The SOI Co. I was immediately impressed by the box it came in, this makes a great gift impression right from the start. Then when you open it up, you notice a very light pleasing scent in a nice thick glass holder. The wax is such a beautifully pure white that it looks so clean. The size of the candle I was sent is a 13.5 oz Luxe Highball, but it is also available in a 16oz Jar Candle and a 3oz. votive. My candle has a burn time of 90 hours, so I will be using this for a looooooonnnng time!

Then I lit my candle and the scent was stronger, but not overpowering. I was reading on the box that this was a candle and skin moisturizer. Hmmmmmmm......that's interesting. I needed to read more information and see exactly how this product was intended to be used and what that exactly means. I read that it burns at 106 degrees and is cool the the touch (the wax, not the flame - don't touch the flame!) So, I figured I owed it to my readers to stick my finger in the wax and verify that this was indeed true. It is!!! Soy wax burns clean, so there is no soot in it and it stays white, so you can use the melted wax to rub on your skin. So, I decided I needed to try it out and rubbed it on my perpetually dry elbows and it made them wonderfully smooth. So, I am pretty happy with how these claims turned out, impressed in fact!
