Review: Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 70 Protein Powder

My Thoughts

I had the opportunity to try both the chocolate and vanilla Manitoba Hemp Pro 70 Protein Powder. Below is a picture of the vanilla shake after I shook it up, I forgot to take a picture of the chocolate one before I took the picture, but you can imagine that it looks chococlatey. The vanilla has a more tan color than some other protein powders I have used.

I first want to mention that I while I do use protein powders frequently, I do not have the need to buy any that are vegan, lactose free, nut free or gluten free. Often products that are those things have different flavors and textures than what I used to. With that being said, this was definitely different in taste and texture than what I am used to.

I also noticed on the back of my 2  (half) single serving packages that you add each to 1 1/2 Cups of your favorite dairy or non-dairy beverage is considered to be 2 servings. So, when you look at the nutrtional information on a serving size of 4T (which would be a typical serving, but says it serves 2) you have 130 calories, 3.5 g fat, 2 g fiber, 14 g protein and 21% iron. It seems like it would be a good source of iron for those that struggle to get enough of it in their diet.

I used to get really bad migraines around my period and recently I've been eating these hemp seeds after reading that it balances your hormones. For the first time in a long time, I didn't get migraines. So I am totally all for this. I will have to get this!
