Review: Home Complete Spiral Slicer and Best 4 Ice Ball Maker

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was very happy to be able to review the Home-Complete Spiral Slicer and  Ice Ball Maker. You can read about the Ice Ball Maker at the bottom half of this review post.

My Thoughts:
I think this kitchen tool is essential for anyone who wants to eat healthier or have gourmet looking salads. My favorite way to use this tool is to make Zucchini "Spaghetti" or Zucchini Patties. It works so well for zucchini and I can't wait to find other zucchini recipes that I can use this this for. I also have used it on cucumber and carrots and made  my salad look more inviting.

It is pretty easy to use and you can see the video below that show me using it. Basically, you just treat the vegetable as if you are sharpening a pencil and twist it. I thought it made spirals out of my cucumber and zucchini so much faster and with longer strands than when I have made them with grater.

Below you can watch me using the Home-Complete Spiral Slicer with a cucumber that I topped on the salad above, as well as some carrots spirals for the salad too.

You can buy the Home-Complete Spiral Slicer on Amazon. At the time of the typing of this post it was on sale for $16.99.

When you get your Home-Complete  Ice Ball Maker, you will see that it comes with 2 silicone parts and an instructions sheet.

My Thoughts: I first made these for our Memorial Weekend celebrations when we had my family coming to stay with us for the weekend. I had made some up in advance since you can only have 4 at a time. So you do have to prepare a bit in advance if you want everyone to be able to have one in their drinks. The balls stayed frozen much longer than the ice cubes that came from our freezer, which keeps your drink from becoming watered down too quickly. Plus everyone seemed to love the fun shape of having a large circle ice cube. It makes it seem more special and fun.

The silicone seems pretty heavy duty, yet you can easily pop the balls out. The instructions were very handy to have so that you knew exactly how to fill the ball maker.

I would love to have both of these. I love ice in my drinks to have them as cold as possible, I like that it doesn't melt as fast and water your drink down.

I think slicing up my little guys food would be a better way to get them to eat. They refuse to eat certain veggies. I bet if they didn't recognize them they would be fine eating them :)

I love the ice ball maker! I don't think I've seen anything like that before, at least here in the Philippines. :)

I love the spiral tool because you can get all fancy looking with foods. The ball ice maker would be good for like punch bowls. You could even put pieces of fruit in the balls with fruit juices.
