ohmigoodness... that looks so fun!! I had no idea! I will definitely keep this in mind when we're stuck inside for days from snow!

Gabriel said...

Oooh. I have to try that one!

Evelyn said...

I gotta try this! Did it slowly expand, or was it a sudden explosion? Man, I bet the kids loved it!

We are going to have to try that, possibly tomorrow. The children are sad they are going to miss homeschool co-op because of the snow. Think they would love to do something cool like this.
Thanks for sharing.

Cool! So, what do you do with the soap after? Is it still usable for baths and stuff?

Jessica said...

Once it was cool, it flakes apart and is like snow. It does still seem to have soap-like qualities to it, so I am going to test it out & make the homemade soap recipe I posted in July and do a couple test loads with towels to see how it work. If it does, then this is a genious (& fun!) way to get the soap in small pieces without having to grate. http://savegreenbeinggreen.blogspot.com/2012/07/try-it-tuesday-homemade-powder-laundry.html
