Review: The Abbey Road Sessions Album Review

I had the pleasure of reviewing the latest album by Kylie Minogue titled "The Abbey Road Sessions". The picture above is of the album cover. This album was recorded at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios with Kylie's band and a full orchestra.

The album features sixteen tracks, all beautifully reworked and including the orchestra. I just love the addition of the orchestra to these tracks. The sound of the orchestra slows the rhythm of the song so that we can hear each beautiful instrument, including her voice. In my opinion, the addition of the orchestra turns it in to more classical feel, even including the pop hits of "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "Locomotion". Other hits on the album that you might recognize include "All the Lovers" and "I Should Be So Lucky". It is such a beautiful album that spans tracks for her 25 year career.

The following YouTube video is of her brand new track titled "Flower". Take a listen and tell me what you think. I think the song is aptly named, as it sounds like it is a beautiful & delicate flower.

The Abbey Road Sessions, Deluxe by Kylie Minogue was released TODAY and is available on Amazon.com in a Deluxe CD Edition as well as mp3 version. It is for sale at other fine retailers as well.
